Sierra L’s Story

In August 2019 we lost our first baby to a miscarriage, We named him Francis Louis

In March of 2020 after a Letrozole cycle we conceived Donald. He was born in October that year after preterm labor for 3 weeks and he was a 37 weeker.

In Jan of 2021 we found out we were pregnant again and had a healthy baby in September and named him Theo.

A year later in Sept of 2022 we found out we were pregnant again and after 5 weeks we ended up in the hospital with a septic miscarriage and had a DnC procedure. It was one of the most traumatic experiences of my life and we named her Lucy Clare.

In December of that year we found that I had a tumor on my pancreas and spleen and had surgery to remove it in February of 2023. I ended up getting an infection from surgery and it was a long six months of recovery.

We started trying for another baby in March of 2024 and had 2 failed Letrozole cycles and I got my gallbladder out in June of that year.

We hoped my health was starting to go in the right direction and so we tried another Letrozole cycle in August of 2024 and we conceived in September, but much like our other pregnancies we miscarried our rainbow baby at home at 5 weeks. We named him Vincent Augustine.

After we lost Vincent, I went on a major health journey. We found a doctor that finally got to the root of why I was continuing to miscarry. I had Hashimotos and Hypothyroidism, along with insulin resistance. We got on a CGM and went on a carnivore diet and started on Levothyroxin and watched my blood levels come back into a normal range.

On February 22, 2025 we got a positive pregnancy test! I can’t explain to you how excited we felt. We were cautiously hopeful but of our experience and with how everything went with 3 of the others we were scared.

I started on progesterone injections 2 x a week and progesterone pills everyday hoping we could give this baby every chance that we can.

On March 13th we had our first appt, we saw baby and a heartbeat we were just barely 6 weeks but so happy.

We are happy to meet our double rainbow baby girl at the beginning of October 2025
