The story of two moms brought together by their babies.
We met by chance, but our babies knew we needed each other. Mandy commented about losing her son, Raylan, on a Cricut page and offered to talk to anyone in need of support. This was two months after Alissa lost her daughter Isabelle, and she was desperate for support from someone who had also lost a baby.
Raylan was born sleeping 10/5/21. Isabelle was born sleeping on 10/3/23.
Mandy and Alissa started to message back and forth, and their friendship quickly grew. Mandy did her best to support Alissa through some of her darkest days of grief. Alissa helped Mandy with her guilt and struggles with parenting after loss. When Alissa and her husband decided to have a rainbow baby, Mandy also supported Alissa through pregnancy after loss.
We have continued to support each other for over a year and a half! We celebrate all our babies and support each other in bad days and good days. We talk daily. We’ve become sisters. Alissa lives in Minnesota while Mandy is in Ohio, so we finally got to meet in June in Minnesota. It was the most incredible weekend together!
