Our journey to growing, our family has resulted in many heartbreaks.
We have 3 girls & have faced many losses.
After the birth of our third we had an unexpected pregnancy that ended in a miscarriage. Our losses combined with health issues increasing we were told it would be best to finish having kids soon.
So with approval of my doctor we started trying for our rainbow.
We were sure we would get pregnant right away as we always had however, through this journey we dealt with infertility as well as more losses.
After a few months of trying we had gotten pregnant and found out it was Twins. We had ultrasounds and a gender reveal. Finding out it was Twins Boys, we were so excited. Naming them, Nicholas Scott & Brigham Dave. We found out at 13 weeks & 4 days that neither of them had a heartbeat. We had them cremated and continue to keep them apart of our family every way possible
Following that we had another chemical and started on testing where we discovered I had hashimotos making my POTS, PCOS & endometriosis worse. I was started on medicine to help in hopes I would ovulate on my own again. But with no luck I was sent to a fertility specialist and started on letrozole, the first round ended in another chemical pregnancy. After much heartbreak from loss and negative test we decided we would be done after the following month.
13 cycles of trying (excluding other pregnancies) Finding out we were pregnant though we were excited, we felt more fear than anything. We decided to keep it secret as long as possible for a number of reasons.
We finally shared with immediate family half way through but continued keeping it from others.
We continue to keep our Boys apart of our family, we have a build a bear for each of them with their heartbeats. Our girls love to play with them and talk to them.
This journey has been filled with so many emotions. Despite the heartbreak we’re so grateful we continued trying for our rainbow baby
