Sophie’s Story

May 21st 2021 I got my first positive. This was also the day before we got married. I somehow managed to keep it a secret until our honeymoon. We found out at 12 weeks we were having a girl. I had a very healthy pregnancy and I was considered low risk.

At 38 weeks and 5 days I had noticed a change in movement. That morning we called to go in and get checked. When we arrived we were told those awful words no parent should ever hear.

Ella Jane Hepworth was born January 24th 2022 at 3:09 pm at exactly 39 weeks. Our perfect baby girl weighed 6lbs 12 oz and was 21.9” long.

Ella was stillborn due to a preventable cord accident. I am sharing our story to raise awareness and connect with others.

We are still on our journey of finding our rainbow and we hope that one day we can give Ella a little sibling.

Sophie's daughter she lost at 39 weeks named Ella Jane.

The rainbow skirt is spread out on the groudn. A teddy bear with a multi colored dress and bow sits on the skirt.
