Anna’s Story

In 2023 we started trying for a baby. I have PCOS and had to use clomid and we were so lucky to get pregnant on our third round! Only for it to turn out to be a blighted ovum MMC.

3 months later (my first cycle back after the MMC) I got pregnant again on letrozole, only for it to end in a chemical.

I was officially diagnosed with repeated pregnancy loss. My RPL panel came back all normal, we were at a loss. Finally on cycle 7 post my chemical pregnancy we found a doctor who ran lesser known RPL blood work. That’s when we found out I had a blood clotting disorder and immune system problem. I was put on lovenox while TTC as well as clomid.

On cycle 8 we had finally gotten insurance coverage for IVF. We saw an RE who ran a semen analysis on my husband. Only to find out on top of all my problems my husband also had really low motility and I possibly had endometriosis. We were told we had a less than 5% chance of conceiving with clomid and lovenox alone and to call when I got my period to start the IVF process.

We still decided to give it one last shot since I was due to ovulate in a couple of days. We entered the two week wait with very low expectations. At 9DPO I had a weird feeling I should just take a test. Low and behold it was positive! We were started on a pretty intense immune protocol by my RE that included monthly intralipids infusions thru my first trimester, multiple ultrasound and lovenox injections. With all that help we’ve now made it to 33 weeks with our quite literally miracle double rainbow baby girl.
