Yahaira’s Story

Hi my name is Yahaira and this is my story.

I am a mother of 4 living children and 1 Angel baby named Ethan!

The toughest day of our life is March 19, 2022 when we went as a family so happy to view our baby in what we thought was a normal scheduled ultrasound appointment.

We received one of the most heartbreaking and traumatizing news anyone can ever hear.

There is no heartbeat!

We were in disbelief that our baby at 7 month gestation would never come back home with us.

There was no medical reason found as to why this occurred. So difficult to get closure when all the doctors tell us is “there is nothing we can find that caused the fetal demise. We have no answers we are so sorry, this just happens.”

We did spend 2 full days with Ethan and were able to have him by our side. The hospital was kind enough to gift us a grief box with his prints and clothes he wore. Thats all we have left of him and all of his memories of course.

We were angry, sad, scared, confused and lost faith in everything.

After so many months of therapy and grief we’ve decided to try again.

We just went through our second round of ivf.

Transfer was 1/26/23 and we got a positive test on February 14th 2023.

We are praying and hoping that we are able to find peace in the trauma we’ve experienced and welcome our rainbow with open arms this upcoming October.

I want to bring awareness that this can happen to anyone and it is not contagious. That there is a rainbow at the end of the storm if you stay positive and never give up.
