My name is Rosie. I’m a firefighter and yoga teacher from the UK. I recently experienced my first miscarriage at 12 weeks, and I’m now on a journey of healing while hoping to conceive again.
Going through this has opened my eyes in a way I never expected. Almost everyone I’ve shared my experience with has responded with a story of their own—whether it was miscarriage, fertility struggles, or pregnancy loss. The same happened when my husband shared with his friends, lots of family’s quietly struggling.
It made us realise just how many people carry these experiences in silence, often feeling they can’t talk about them until someone else goes first. To me, that doesn’t make sense. These experiences are so common, yet so many of us carry them alone. We should be able to talk about them openly, support one another, and know that we’re not alone.
