January of 2022 we found out we were having our first baby together (my fiance has a 9 year old son and I have a 9 year old daughter from before we met each other).

I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes and I was kept on a strict diet and close monitoring with a high risk doctor. Due to this, my placenta wasn’t providing the necessary nutrients to the baby and resulted in low amniotic fluid and a growth restriction.

On June 4th, 2022, after not feeling our baby move for a couple of days, we went into the hospital and found out that our baby no longer had a heartbeat. I was induced and gave birth to our sleeping angel Ari Carmen Rivera Anazco on June 6, 2022.

After months of enduring grief and the biggest pain we had ever experienced, my fiance, Mitchell, and I decided that we were ready to try again. In September of the same year, we found out we were pregnant with our rainbow baby, Arilynn Marie Rivera Anazco.

Arilynn is now 6 months old (on October 18th) and has brought so much light into our lives. We prayed so hard for her and although it was a long journey, she fought through and taught us so many lessons in such short time.
