Saint Patrick is the patron Saint of Ireland. According to the History Channel, Saint Patrick’s Day has been celebrated for over 1,000 years by the Irish people. Each year, on March 17, people from around the world celebrate this day.
When you think of St. Patrick’s Day, you often think of leprechauns, pots of gold, and shamrocks. These have all become the icons we think of today. You can enjoy doing these crafts while also teaching your child the history of the day. There are a few links on this list that do go into the history of the holiday. Or, if you would prefer, simply do the crafts for fun without the history lesson. Either way, these will be enjoyable for your kids.
