In 2018, just 3 short months after marrying my sweet husband, we found a genetic marker in our family which meant that my husband and I couldn’t naturally conceive. We had just purchased a 6 bedroom house, so we were devastated.
In 2023 we were finally ready to go the medical route, and did an IUI which was successful, but ultimately ended at about 6 weeks. We were heart broken again, and didn’t know what to do.
I’m a part of a group called Moms in the Making which helps support women going through infertility, so we didn’t have to do it all alone. I watched some of my friends, and even my sister in law, do IVF with sucesss, so we gave that a try.
We got 5 beautiful embryos, and we are currently 5 months pregnant with our rainbow baby boy! We get to fill all the bedrooms in our house now.
Along the way we found community, and we also grew closer to God in the process. Without our faith, we would not be in the position we are in today.
